“We chose NBG based on the excellent job they did for a neighbour and for their competitive quote. James, Jordan, Liam and the rest of the team were great to work with. As the job was for a small although slightly complicated space, we proceeded without a formal drawn design. This worked out well because the day before the team started we discussed the job on site with James and Jordan and decided to add to the job the removal of a stand of bamboo, the construction of a hardwood privacy screen and slightly extending the proposed deck to have a smaller enclosed garden bed. James provided a quote for the extra work that afternoon which we approved. The team had to work around a rainwater first-flush pit, an exposed water pipe running from the water tank to a rear outside tap and a sewer pipe buried not far from soil level. Removing the bamboo with its underground roots was a major effort. As soil was removed for the deck and its footings, some initial ideas had to be reworked and Jordan, as foreman, was extremely helpful in solving problems and coming up with efficient and effective solutions. The team started on time each day of the two week job, completed the build with an attention to detail and left the site clean and tidy. The new deck, small garden bed, privacy screen and paving have turned out even better than we expected. We are happy to highly recommend the NBG team.”
